Kazakhstan residents will have 4 days off from May 7 to 10 on the Victory Day and the Defender of the Fatherland Day, azh.kz reports. Sunday May 11 is the working day.
Earlier Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov has signed a government decree on days off in May, the PM’s official website writes.
“To create good conditions for rest and rational use of work time, the days off shall be moved from Sunday May 4 to Friday May 2, 2014, as well as from Sunday May 11 to Thursday May 8, 2014,” the message states.
“In line with the decree, companies provided with labor, material and financial resources for production of goods, rendering services, including financial ones, as well as for putting construction facilities into service, shall have a right to work on May 2 and 8, 2014 with an approval from their trade unions. The work that day shall be paid in line with the acting legislation of Kazakhstan,” prime minister’s press-service writes.
On May 7 Kazakhstan celebrates the Defender of the Fatherland Day - also the state holiday.
